Why Three Wavelengths?
Different wavelengths target the hair follicle at different depths. By combining three wavelengths, Lumière allows treatments to be tailored according to the client’s skin tone, hair colour, hair thickness and the area being treated.
This advanced technology makes Lumière incredibly versatile, allowing us to treat fair through to darker skin tones, as well as a broad range of hair colours and textures.
Every client is individually assessed so that treatment settings can be selected specifically for their skin and hair.
How Does Laser Hair Removal Work?
Laser hair removal works by delivering controlled laser energy into the pigment within the hair. This energy travels down to the follicle, where it targets the structures responsible for producing new hair while protecting the surrounding skin.
Hair grows in different cycles and laser is most effective when the hair is in its active growth phase. As not every hair is in this phase at the same time, a course of treatments is needed to achieve the best possible reduction.
As your course progresses, you should begin to notice:

How Many Sessions Will I Need?
Laser hair removal isn’t a one-session treatment.
Because we can only effectively target hairs that are in the correct stage of their growth cycle, treatments are carried out as a course, with sessions appropriately spaced according to the area being treated.
Results vary between individuals depending on factors including hair colour and thickness, skin type, treatment area, hormones and natural hair-growth cycles.
After completing a course, occasional maintenance sessions may be recommended to help manage future regrowth.
Consultation & Patch Test
Safety is extremely important to us. Before beginning your laser hair removal journey, you’ll have a consultation where we’ll assess your natural skin tone, hair colour and thickness, pigmentation, medical history and medications and discuss what you would like to achieve.
A patch test is required at least 48 hours before your first full treatment.
Your settings are selected specifically for your skin and hair rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

Founded by Kay George, our clinic has recently rebranded from Flosh Aesthetics and Piercing Clinic to reflect our growth and evolving vision. We are committed to continually refining our skills, embracing advanced techniques, and integrating the latest technology to enhance the delivery of cosmetic health and beauty treatments across West Cumbria. Our focus is on providing safe, modern, and results-driven treatments in a professional and welcoming environment.
My journey began in June 2021, when I discovered my passion for aesthetics, skin health, and overall wellbeing. Since then, I’ve been dedicated to helping people feel comfortable, confident, and happy in their own skin. With nearly 5 years of experience and having completed multiple training courses, I keep up with constantly changing trends and have the knowledge I need to deliver safe, effective, and natural results.
Over time, my approach has evolved. While I’ve always offered beauty and aesthetic treatments, I realised that true confidence comes from combining aesthetics with health and wellbeing. This inspired the rebrand from Flosh Clinic to Sublime Skin Studios, reflecting our new focus on holistic care — helping clients feel amazing both inside and out.
I’m also thrilled to share that I’ve taken delivery of a Tesla Pelvic Floor Muscle Tightening machine, the first one in North West Cumbria! There are some exciting things planned for 2026, including hopefully moving to a much larger premises — but I won’t spill too much just yet.
Every step of my journey has been about learning, growing, and finding ways to support my clients to look and feel their best in a natural, sustainable way.
